# RestoreCord Free vs Premium: what €5 a month adds

Free keeps your community restorable. Premium decides who is allowed in at all. Here is the full difference, line by line, and how to tell which side of it your server sits on.

Short answer

Stay on Free if you run one server and mainly want members and structure backed up. Move to Premium (€5 a month or €30 a year) when you need alt detection, VPN blocking, a blacklist, sub-users or more than one server.

## Free is a full plan, not a demo

A lot of bots hide the useful parts behind a paywall. RestoreCord's Free plan is different: it already does the job most owners sign up for. Members verify through your own branded bot, their authorization is stored, and if the server is ever lost you can pull them into a new one. There is **no pull cooldown** on Free, and the number of restorable members is unlimited.

* 1 server and 1 custom bot with its own name, avatar and status
* Unlimited restorable members and no waiting period between pulls
* 1 server snapshot per server with up to 50 messages per channel, plus the backup previewer
* Captcha and a user authentication check on every verification
* Feedback packs (vouches), shop products and a Discovery listing
* Webhook logs, basic analytics and free API access

## What Premium adds

Premium keeps everything above and adds three kinds of upgrade. The first is the one most owners notice: control over who gets through verification.

### The security gap

On Free, anyone who passes the captcha can verify. That is fine until a banned troll returns on a new account or a raid arrives through a VPN. Premium's firewall compares new verifications with the people your server has already seen, refuses VPN and proxy connections when you want it to, and automatically blacklists anyone you ban so they can't verify back in.

### The team gap

Sub-users let moderators work in the dashboard with their own login and only the permissions you give them. On Free, the only way to share the work is to share your account, which is exactly what you should never do with the account that owns your member backups.

### Manage Sub-Users

Share server access with other users.

## Signs you have outgrown Free

* You banned someone and they were back within the hour on a fresh account.
* A raid or a wave of suspicious joins came in through VPN or proxy connections.
* You are opening a second community, or splitting one into several servers.
* A single snapshot is not enough because your server changes every week.
* A trusted moderator needs to run pulls or edit settings while you are away.

Paying yearly makes Premium €30 instead of €60 over twelve months. If you already know you are staying, yearly is the obvious pick.

## When Free is enough

A single community that mostly wants a safety net, with a small, known membership, can stay on Free for years. You can upgrade at any moment and the paid features switch on as soon as the payment is processed, so there is no reason to buy early. For the bigger plans, read [Business vs Enterprise](https://restorecord.pro/business-vs-enterprise), check [billing and trial rules](https://restorecord.pro/billing-and-trial), or go back to the [plan overview](https://restorecord.pro/).

## Decide between Free and Premium

1. 1
### List what Free already covers
Check whether one server, one bot, one snapshot and unlimited member restores are all you rely on today.
2. 2
### Look for the security gap
Ban evaders, VPN traffic and alt accounts are the usual reasons owners move to Premium.
3. 3
### Count your servers and staff
A second server or a moderator who needs dashboard access without your login both point to Premium.
